Description:  Ten quartz specimens measuring between 33 and 52 mm.

  • The four smoky coloured ones are from Steinkopf (Northern Cape);
  • The four cactus quartz specimens are from KwaNdebele (Mpumalanga);
  • The two clear quartz specimens are from Ceres, Western Cape (collected by ourselves).
Some terminations have nicks, and some specimens have contact / pressure marks and flaws.

Hardness on Mohs Scale:  7
