Demantoid Garnets on Matrix – NAM 015

Measurements:  53 x 52 x 28 mm 

Description:  Olive green demantoid garnets on a conglomorate feldspar / garnet matrix. 

The garnets have a few small nicks. The specimen displays well on a flat surface.

Chemical Composition:  Ca₃Fe³₂⁺(SiO₄)₃  (garnets)
                                       KAlSi₃O₈  (feldspar)   

Hardness on Mohs Scale:  (garnets)  6.5-7
