Measurements: 87 x 66 x 17 mm
Description: A plate of quartz crystals (of which a few are double terminated) with hematite inclusions. There are bits of feldspar clay among the crystals.
The bottom of the specimen reveals a prominent (previous) crack. While still in the ground, the crack was healed when further crystallization took place, and a few small crystals actually formed in what was previously the crack (image bottom left).
A few of the crystals have nicks.
