Quartz Specimen with Interesting Faces and Rutile Inclusions WC 032

Quartz crystal specimen with interesting faces and rutile needles inside

Measurements:  120 x 78 x 40 mm

Description:  A light smoky quartz specimen with interesting faces and a few terminations and rutile needles inside.

The termination points have no notable damage. The top display side has very little damage, and a flaw (typical of specimens from this area).

The specimen grew in a horizontal position, so the bottom was damaged when we removed it. The orangy patch was caused by iron oxide.
