10 quartz specimens from 3 different locations

Description:  Ten quartz specimens (40 - 68 mm long) from different locations:

  • Four cactus specimens from KwaNdebele (Mpumalanga, SA);
  • Three smokies from the Northern Cape;
  • Three clear / white specimens from the Ceres area, Western Cape, SA.
The close-up image shows the small chlorite / clinochlore balls inside one of the crystals.  For a closer look at these, follow this link.

Most terminations have only smallnicks. Some crystals have contact and /or pressure marks.
